Sheet Pan Steak Strips with Peppers & Onions

When I first saw this around Pinterest that making sheet pan dinners was so easy, then I knew that I had to try it. Yes, it was easy and believe it or not fun to make. This was almost as easy as making a meal in a crockpot.

The steak strips can be from boneless flank steak or boneless sirloin steak. I used boneless beef sirloin tip steak and I cut the steak meat into strips since they were so thin. Season the meat on both sides.

The most prep time is chopping the peppers and red onions. The peppers can be your choice of green, yellow or red bell peppers. I like color so I try to get all three only when I can find a good bargain on them. Yellow and red bell peppers can sometimes be a little more pricer than a green bell pepper.

Place your steak strips on one side of the sheet pan. Then, place the peppers and onions on the other side of the sheet pan. Drizzle some olive oil on your meat and peppers.

 

 

Preheat oven to 375 F. Place sheet pan in oven and let cook for around 30 minutes. Check on the pan, take it out and flip the steaks over. Also, flip over the onions and peppers. Stick the pan back in the oven. Let cook for an additonal 15-20 minutes.The steak strips will be medium-well done. Less time if prefer rare, medium rare or medium steak strips.

 

I topped the boneless beef sirloin tip steak strips with feta cheese to make it more of a Greek meal. Use flour tortillas to make a steak fajita by warming the tortilla in a pn over the stove top for two minutes on both sides.

Sheet Pan Steak Strips with Peppers & Onions
1 lb Boneless Beef Sirloin Tip Steak
1 tsp Creole Seasoning
1 tsp Garlic Powder
1 tsp Onion Powder
1 Red Onion
1 Green Bell Pepper
1 Red Bell Pepper
1 Yellow Bell Pepper
1 tsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Preheat oven to 375 F. Remove from package and clean boneless beef sirloin tip steaks. Pat dry with paper towels. Season meat with Creole seasoning, garlic powder and onion powder. Set aside. Cut in slices red onion and peppers. Either use parchment paper to cover the sheet pan or spray pan with Pam Olive Oil. Align steaks on one side. Align onions and peppers on opposite side. Cook for 30 min. Turn steaks and peppers. Cook an additional 15 min for medium well. Less than 30-minutes for rare, medium rare or medium.
